Coaching Groups: Leading With Intention - Academic Leadership Coaching
Academic leadership requires navigating people, institutional priorities, competing expectations, internal/external relationships, and continuous change. A lot of times, academic leadership roles also require a paradoxical mindset—balancing succeeding through one’s own expertise and creating the conditions for others to succeed.
Leading with Intention supports academic leaders in balancing these needs.
Through a distinctive combination of three individual and three small-group coaching sessions, leaders have space to reflect on who they are as leaders, the impact they want to have, and how they can lead more intentionally.
This program consists of two meetings per month for 3 months. Each month you will have one 1-hour individual coaching session (to be scheduled with your coach) and one 1-hour group coaching session (scheduled in advance of purchase). If you are interested in participating but the existing options do not work with your schedule, please sign up for the waiting list below or send us a request via our Contact Form.
Groups must have a minimum of 3 people per cohort. If you sign up and the minimum requirement is not met, you may chose to have 6 individual coaching sessions instead, or to transfer to a different scheduled set of sessions.
Individual coaching provides personalized exploration of leadership goals and challenges.
Group coaching brings leaders together to learn from peers and explore the complexities of academic leadership in a trusted developmental community.
Coaching conversations are shaped by participants’ needs and may include:
• Leadership identity and role transitions
• Relationships, conflicts, communication, and influence
• Empowering others, creating shared ownership, and team management
• Navigating complexity, change, and competing expectations
The experience helps participants move beyond responding to immediate demands toward leading with greater clarity, relational effectiveness, and purpose.
